iCamp’s Summer Academy for Social Change is a week-long residential academy at West Chester University, July 9-15. We’ll eat together, play together, make together, learn together– while working on media projects that reflect community needs. This tentative schedule provides a general outline of the schedule of the Academy. Check back for updates!
Sunday July 9
1pm: Families arrive at WCU for check in, WCU campus tour, and meet and greet with project staff.
3pm: Director’s welcome and introduction. Friends & family welcome! Orientation & team formation.
5pm: Dinner together 5-7pm, campus dining hall
7-9pm: Initial Jam Time.
Monday July 10
7-9am: Breakfast in campus dining halls
9am: We’ll work together from breakfast to late night. 4 media tracks will work separately and together, in groups small and large. Community partners, organizations, campus groups. We’ll have group meals on campus, but lots of free time to jam, to make, to play, to learn.
July 15: After Brunch, the Summer Academy concludes with a 1pm public Launch Party to celebrate the projects and applaud the work. Everyone’s welcome!
